Job Summary:
A CT Technologist position is available in a healthcare facility located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The CT Technologist performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This role requires initiative, independent judgment, and technical expertise to produce high-quality images that aid in accurate diagnosis.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Shift: 12-hour night shifts. Hours per week: minimum of 36 hours.
  • Required Qualifications: - Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT(R)(CT)); BLS (Basic Life Support certification) from the American Heart Association. - Education: Associate degree. - Experience: 0 years minimum; 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred. - Location: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • Preferred Qualifications: - Certification: Certified Computed Tomography Technologist (ARRT(R)(CT)). - Experience: 1-2 years in a healthcare setting with CT procedures.
  • Additional Information:
    • Demonstrates understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
    • Proficiency in operating CT equipment and understanding of imaging techniques and protocols.
    • Knowledge of contrast media protocols and operation of contrast injectors.
    • Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images effectively.
    • Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds appropriately.
    • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
    • Maintains a safe, clean, and sterile environment in compliance with infection control standards.
    • Participates in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in CT technology.
