Job Summary:
Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Utilizes appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic CT images. Exercises judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department. Ensures compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• New York State License (L.R.T)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified) with current CT certification
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of CT experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• None specified

Additional Information:

• Performs daily quality control calibration checks on equipment
• Injects patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders
• Maintains and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation
• Orders and verifies radiopharmaceutical doses
• Follows ALARA principles for radiation safety
