Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor CT equipment; safely transfer and position patients using proper lifting techniques and immobilization devices as needed
- Obtain patient identification, review pertinent medical history, and assess for known allergies prior to procedures
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously per Radiologist protocol; monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately, including providing basic CPR in emergency situations
- Capture, store, transfer, and archive electronic/digital images; maintain permanent image files and records for each patient
- Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control; ensure proper maintenance and adherence to imaging procedure protocols
- Assist Radiologists and physician specialists with specialized radiological procedures; support continuous quality improvement initiatives and departmental goal setting
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required
- Hands-on experience with Philips CT equipment required
- Active ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Compliance with applicable state radiation safety standards and regulations
Preferred Experience / Skills- Travel/contract technologist experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
- Skills checklist completed within the past year preferred
