Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Auto Offer Hours per Shift: 5.5 hours for call shifts Experience: Current Epic experience required License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Current Epic experience Description: Hospital total bed count is 125. Days staffing is 9, nights staffing is 1, weekends staffing is 5. Call is required for Radiology, General Ultrasound, Cardiology, and PACS. All call shifts are assigned on the posted schedules. Radiology Technologists can expect 1-4 call shifts per week. Each call shift is 5.5 hours long. There are two call shifts per day. Early call is from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Late call is from 10:30 PM to 4:00 AM. Those working days will cover early call. Those working evenings will cover late call. Graveyard/overnight technologists do not cover call. General Ultrasound staff can expect 1-3 call shifts per week. There is one 11.5-hour call shift per day from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday to Saturday. Cardiology staff can expect 3-4 call shifts per week. Monday to Friday call is 11.5 hours from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Saturday and Sunday call is 24 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM the next day. PACS administrators take turns covering a week of call. Expect to be on call every other week for 7 days. Monday to Friday call is 15.5 hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Saturday and Sunday call is 24 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM the next day. Weekend coverage is required. Staff work either every other weekend or one weekend day per week. The medication system is Omnicell. The EMR system is Cerner. Transporters work from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. There is no unit secretary on the unit. Special procedures performed on this unit include: - CT guided drain placements - CT guided biopsy - Ultrasound guided biopsy - Aspiration - Paracentesis - Thoracentesis - Fluoroscopic guided lumbar puncture - Fluoroscopic guided PICC placement - Myelogram Procedures vary depending on the skills of the radiologist covering the department for the day.
