Job Title: Computerized Tomography Technologist Profession: Computerized Tomography Technologist Specialty: Computerized Tomography Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift - 4 days/week Hours per Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT) OR R.T. (R) Certifications: Advanced Certification in the modality of CT, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Ability to start and work varying shifts Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records, files, and patient data. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to patient confidentiality guidelines. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Participates in on-call rotation with the team for weekend coverage. Experience with Siemens CT scanners is preferred. Special procedures include biopsy, drainage, and others.
