Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty: Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H All 12 Hour Shifts - Varied Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year experience in Radiography and 1 year CT experience required License: ARRT (R) and BLS required Certifications: ARRT (CT) required within 18 months of employment Must-Have: Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology ARRT Certification BLS Certification Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Description: Performs diagnostic examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist. Utilizes a high level of clinical expertise and problem solving in each modality assigned. Determines appropriate positioning and scan parameters for each study. Reviews images for clarity and accuracy to ensure the radiologist can clearly visualize the area of concern. Maintains a positive customer service attitude while performing all duties. Conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner during all interactions. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to professional standards. Carries out responsibilities in line with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Monitors console display of the area being imaged to appropriately adjust density and contrast. Ensures the exam is ready for the radiologist's interpretation. Proficient in operation of PACS and EMR to enable proper staging of examinations for interpretation. Ensures correct patient ID is on all images.
