Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT (Computed Tomography) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Tuesday – Friday Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: No specific license required for submission Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Must-Have: GE and Siemens experience preferred Description: The hiring process includes profile reviews and interviews with the unit manager. The department has five scanners. Clinicians will need to float to outpatient areas if necessary. Common types of imaging and studies are performed in this department. The average number of scans or studies performed daily is around 25. The department uses EMR and PACS systems. Radiology equipment in use includes GE and Siemens. There is a supervisor or lead technician overseeing the department. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized. Radiologists are present in-house. Starting IVs is a requirement for the position. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. There is no self-scheduling or block scheduling available. Response time for any call or standby requirement is not applicable. Scrubs are to be worn in black color, and the department provides scrubs. Specific orientation for the department is included. In case of an extreme need, floating within designated zones may be required. The cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel a specific number of shifts during the assignment. The charting system utilized is EPIC. BSN is not required for this position. This position is in a trauma level 1 acute care setting. This role falls under the Allied health division.
