Job Title: MRI Technologist/CT Technologist/Fluoroscopy Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: MRI Technologist, CT Technologist, Fluoroscopy, Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3-12s Weekend Day shifts per week/Day shift occasional call/night shifts per department rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Technologist license required Certifications: AART Certification required Must-Have: - Operational experience with MRI, CT, and fluoroscopic equipment - Knowledge of quality control standards for imaging modalities - Ability to assist during interventional procedures Description: Operates and maintains x-ray, fluoroscopic, and c-arm equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety. Captures and processes images, ensuring proper image quality and clarity. Responsible for quality control in the x-ray area. Operates computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Assists with administering contrast media as ordered by the medical team. Assists professionals during interventional procedures, using CT images for guidance. Responsible for quality control in the CT area. Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Interviews patients to explain MRI procedures and requests removal of hazardous metal objects. Monitors staff and patients entering the scan room to ensure safety from hazardous items. Responsible for quality control in the MRI area. Transports patients according to their physical abilities related to the requested exams. Guides, manages, and protects patients according to policies and procedures. Uses positioning aids to produce quality patient exams. Assures cleanliness and appeal of all areas within the section. Maintains compliance with all relevant rules and standards. Practices sterile technique and Universal Precaution. Evaluates exams for technical quality. Maintains records and logs according to departmental policies. Cleans rooms and restocks supplies following each examination. Makes follow-up calls to patients or physicians as necessary. Assists in training Radiology students.
