Job Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist Profession: Multi-Modality Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Valid New Hampshire Imaging License Certifications: ARRT (R) and (CT) or (M) Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: We are seeking a proficient multi-modality Radiologic Technologist. CT experience is required and ARRT CT certification preferred. Mammo experience preferred. Must be able to obtain and process quality images. Complete all required documentation and paperwork timely. Prepare patients for examinations in a professional manner. Provide safe care based on age-specific needs of the patient. Interact with the diagnostic imaging team effectively. Comply with protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated. Compassion, empathy, and congeniality are essential traits. A candidate must be comfortable working independently. Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required. Because our workload is inconsistent, adaptability is necessary. If this sounds like you, APPLY TODAY! Job Responsibilities: Greet patients, explain procedures to them, and answer their questions. Show patients to changing rooms and assist when necessary. For patients requiring assistance, notify the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary equipment is available for exams. Prepare exam rooms to receive patients and ensure equipment is functioning properly. Prepare patients for exams by getting them changed as required. Remove items that could cause artifacts prior to imaging. Utilize ALARA principles at all times. Perform all requested routine and specialty diagnostic radiology exams. Produce diagnostic images with accurate positioning. Optimize image quality with appropriate technique selection. Close out exams and send images for interpretation. Monitor and stock radiology supplies. Consistently check for expired items and perform necessary quality control. Document when required. Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements is necessary. Follow shutdown, warm-up, and quality control schedules as appropriate. Perform basic office duties, including answering the phone and scheduling radiology exams. Assist with obtaining protocols and ensuring prior authorizations are obtained when necessary. Send images to other facilities and create discs when requested. Perform necessary record keeping for sending images and scanning documents into electronic systems. Take call as requested and be available during on-call hours. Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Multi-modality experience preferred. Excellent customer service and patient care skills are required. Experience with imaging software preferred. Ability to live within a reasonable distance for on-call duties preferred.
