Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT (Computed Tomography) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Must have a valid license to practice as a CT Technologist Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Must-Have: At least 2 years of experience in the field Familiarity with EMR &/or PACS software (Radnet & Merge Unity) Experience with a Canon 16 slice CT scanner Ability to perform brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine imaging, biopsies, drainage, extremities imaging, angiography, and cryoablation Description: The position requires the ability to float to another location if necessary. The department has one scanner. The average number of scans performed daily is approximately 65. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized in this department. Radiologists are available on-site. IV starts are not required; an IR nurse will perform IV starts if needed. Self-scheduling is not allowed; block scheduling is not offered. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Holiday requirements include one major and one minor holiday. There is a call or standby requirement with a response time of 30 minutes. Scrubs in teal color are required and are provided. The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is done using Cerner. This position is within an acute care setting.
