Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 (7:30 PM to 6:00 AM), Monday-Thursday - No Weekends Experience: Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred License: Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT; Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification Must-Have: - Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school - Experience with GE VCT and GE Revolution CT equipment Description: The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with invasive CT procedures. Prepares examinations for interpretation and maintains radiation safety. Assists with maintaining supplies required for CT procedures. Documents diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider. Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. Analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes. Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. Operates all CT and related equipment efficiently. Utilizes facility-based computer systems to manage patient data and imaging results. Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of a physician and according to protocol. Safely transports, moves, and positions patients as needed. Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT technology. Participates in quality assurance and quality control activities related to CT. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.
