Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Required Certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT Must-Have: - Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray. - Professional, friendly, and good communication skills. Description: Must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Must have a valid license. General comments: Unit will have a 12-bed freestanding emergency room with a 7-bed fast track area. Average patient volume is 80 patients per day, with over 100 during winter surge. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Type of equipment includes GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray. Documentation system in use is Meditech and Sectra. Scheduling requirements vary and include 36 hours with rotating weekends and holidays. No on-call is required. Patient experience is a priority; we care like family. The unit is certified as Acute Stroke Ready and has trauma and burn center facilities. Advanced skills in acute stroke care and moderate pediatric volume are needed. Normal emergency room procedures are performed on the unit, but no surgical procedures or biopsies. Dress code required is grey scrubs. Highly effective teamwork and a positive culture are emphasized. The unit consistently ranks in the 80th percentile for patient experience scores. This is a busy, high-acuity freestanding emergency room.
