Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Prepare, educate, and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
  • Review image quality prior to submission for radiologist interpretation
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure
  • Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks and report equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental standards
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional diagnostic services
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Active California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT)
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
  • ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Experience performing contrast-enhanced CT examinations in an acute care setting
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
