Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 15:00 - 23:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT (CT) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ARRT (CT) BLS Strongly prefer experience with GE equipment and Meditech. Description: The unit has 18 beds and a staff of 8 members. Staff includes radiologists, radiologic techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs. A day shift director, a radiologist, and 6-7 techs work during the day. On the night shift, there is a charge RN, an on-call team, and 3-4 techs, varying based on volume. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient stability. All equipment is GE, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include CT scans, MRIs, body scans, and X-rays. The role requires creating images of bones, organs, and tissues to provide accurate assessments. Successful candidates should possess strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude. The ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with a variety of physicians and patients is essential. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. A new state-of-the-art computed tomography scanner has been recently added. The facility is recognized as a certified comprehensive stroke center and has received an American Heart Gold Plus Achievement Award. The position is created due to contractor replacement.
