CT
Tech
utilizes
computerized
tomography
(CT)
scanners
to
produce
cross-section
images
of
patients'
internal
organs
and
tissues
for
the
diagnosis
of
medical
issues.
CT
Tech
must
be
able
to
accurately
interpret
a
physician's
scanning
instructions,
administer
contrast
materials,
prepare
and
operate
the
CT
scan
equipment
and
position
the
patient
to
capture
the
appropriate
images
.
Also
performs
quality
control
procedures.
Uses
independent
judgment
and
applies
all
radiation
safety
standards.
The
CT
Tech
will
also
provide
coverage
for
other
areas
within
the
Radiology
Department.
When
acting
as
the
Radiologic
Technologist,
performs
radiologic
diagnostic
procedures,
adheres
to
proper
Radiation
Safety
procedures,
and
performs
procedures
accurately
and
efficiently.
He/she
also
performs
necessary
quality
control
on
equipment
and
assumes
responsibility
for
maintain
and
improving
diagnostic
imaging
knowledge
and
skills.
