Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Licensed by the state of Ohio Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Certified by ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS in at least one modality Must-Have: - High School Equivalent / GED - Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited 2-year program in a school of Radiologic Technology - Effective organizational, written and oral communication skills - Clear knowledge of all modality specific equipment, computers, PACS, EMR and RIS - Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems - Excellent customer service skills Description: A Multi Modality Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services and related diagnostic procedures in more than one Radiology modality. The Multi Modality Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of imaging equipment and for performing diagnostic examinations using multiple modalities. This role involves maintaining daily operations of the department, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting failures, and quality assessment. The technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics and is self-motivated to increase knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures. Must actively and consistently work in more than one modality. Consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety, including ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely. Demonstrate competency in patient and technical imaging skills by producing various radiological procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care. Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Perform all applicable equipment quality control. Accurately record all requested database/log records. Display a commitment to hospital mission and values. Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements. Effectively follow directions to ensure compliance with state and federal agencies. Proficiently instruct students and new staff after one year of experience. Demonstrate ability to work independently. Use administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI). Complete annual training and adhere to applicable policies and procedures.
