Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Tech Specialty: CT Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Various Shifts Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two or more years of experience in general radiology, at least one year of CT. License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: C/T examinations Patient instruction Study evaluation Patient safety Equipment inspection Description: Performs CT examinations in accordance with established protocols. Assists and instructs patients prior to and during examinations. Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use. Reports all equipment failures and/or malfunctions to the radiology supervisor. Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to quality assurance policies. Responsible for processing images, organizing paperwork, and completing charges. Works in other areas of the department such as radiology, ultrasound, etc. Organizational standards for Joint Commission, patient safety, and the Department of Health will be met or exceeded. Takes call or stand-by when required. Performs other duties as required.
