Connected Health Care, a leading healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected Critical Access Hospital near Beardstown, Illinois, to recruit an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a Travel PRN opportunity.

This role is ideal for an adaptable RN who enjoys working in a rural healthcare setting and values flexibility. The facility is seeking a skilled ER nurse to provide coverage on an as-needed basis while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.

Position Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

• Location: Near Beardstown, IL

• Setting: Critical Access Hospital

• Schedule: PRN / As Needed

• Shifts Available: Days and Nights

• Contract Length: 26 Weeks (Flexible and Negotiable for PRN Candidates)

• Compensation: Up to $55/Hour

• Start Date: ASAP

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a variety of emergency medical conditions.

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to physician orders.

• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility policies.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a rural healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Required Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact License (if applicable)

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• PALS Certification preferred

• TNCC preferred

• NIH Stroke Certification preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred

• Previous Critical Access Hospital, Rural Health, or Community Hospital experience strongly preferred

• Experience with emergency stabilization, triage, trauma, cardiac, and medical-surgical patients

• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
