Local Travel Contract - Claims, Litigation & Insurance Manager | near Palm Springs, CA

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare organization near Palm Springs, California, to hire an experienced Claims, Litigation & Insurance Manager for a 13-week local travel contract assignment. This opportunity offers weekly compensation up to $2,100 (based on experience), along with the chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare and legal environment.

Position Overview
The Claims, Litigation & Insurance Manager plays a critical role in overseeing litigation matters, managing insurance programs, and supporting legal operations. This position requires a strong background in litigation support, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation and insurance portfolios across multiple case types
  • Oversee and coordinate the full litigation discovery process, including medical malpractice, labor/employment, class action, and general business cases
  • Maintain and update case files, including discovery timelines and motion schedules
  • Serve as the primary liaison between outside counsel and internal leadership
  • Support procurement and renewal of insurance programs, including excess coverage layers
  • Administer related programs such as certificates of insurance and driver-related compliance programs
  • Collaborate with legal leadership including General Counsel and associated teams
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with legal and organizational standards

Required Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years supporting attorneys in litigation matters in a law firm or in-house setting
  • OR three (3) years of relevant experience combined with a paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certification from an ABA-accredited program

Required Skills

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related systems
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Working knowledge of California and Federal court rules, particularly related to discovery
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology, especially in medical malpractice contexts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
