Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Successfully completed high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications Requirements: Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Specialized training or certification in rehabilitative or restorative care preferred. BLS certification is required.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA with restorative or rehabilitative care experience in a long-term care setting. Proven ability to assist residents in regaining independence and physical function.
  • Other Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical ability to perform caregiving duties, including mobility assistance. Strong focus on resident safety and comfort.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess residents’ rehabilitative needs and develop individualized care plans focused on restoring and maintaining physical function.
  • Provide direct restorative care activities to aid residents in regaining independence following illness, injury, or surgery.
  • Monitor residents’ progress and document improvements or setbacks in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and family members to optimize residents’ rehabilitative outcomes.
  • Educate residents and their families on techniques and exercises to support continued physical function and independence.
