Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Charge Nurse for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with a single nursing floor
- Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) unit specializing in stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injury
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:7
- Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machine, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
- EMR: Cerner and Epic
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications required, including BLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Experience with rehab or med-surg nursing
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Serves as a Charge RN, requiring strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Common diagnoses and treatments include stroke, amputation, and recovery from major surgeries
- The facility is accredited by CIHQ and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted during this assignment
