We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join a high-performing Operating Room team in Colorado. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers while maintaining a safe, sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
The ideal candidate has extensive operating room experience, strong sterile processing knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms by organizing sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations.
- Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts.
- Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and handling.
- Operate sterilization equipment and perform sterilization quality testing.
- Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments after procedures.
- Verify sterility of instruments and packaged supplies before each case.
- Restock operating rooms and maintain adequate surgical inventory.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are functioning properly before and after procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient surgical workflow.
- Follow all infection prevention and safety protocols.
