Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a busy Operating Room team in a fast-paced acute care environment. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare operating rooms and instruments, and provide support throughout the surgical process.
Candidates must be comfortable working independently and possess strong experience in orthopedic trauma, total joints, neuro-trauma, and general OR procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Scrub and assist during surgical cases
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies efficiently
- Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff
- Accurately document procedures and maintain compliance with facility policies
