Job Title: Rapid Response CVOR Tech Profession: Allied Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital experience as CVOR Tech License: N/A Certifications: BLS, NBSTA, DORA Must-Have: - Proficient in Open Heart experience - Current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience Description: Candidates will float between facilities. 48 hours guaranteed per week. Must have BLS, NBSTA, and DORA certifications in hand. Candidates without required certifications will not be considered. Candidates must have open heart experience. On-call duty is required with a 30-minute response time. There are 14 operating rooms available. The staff consists of a charge nurse, registered nurses, surgical technicians, patient care technicians, and trauma team members. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1 but not guaranteed. The typical equipment used includes Meditech for electronic medical records. The unit performs several typical procedures such as AVR, MVR, CABG, Bentall, and Dissection. Successful candidates will be team players with a high level of accountability and expertise. Self-direction is valued within the team. Flexibility for day and evening hours is required. Candidates will need to be adaptable to the unit's policies and guidelines. Additional information that may attract candidates includes new equipment or technology and the tenure and experience of the staff. The unit is experiencing a peak period, increasing the need for staff.
