We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Sitka, Alaska. The Surgical Tech will assist during advanced and complex surgical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse and surgical team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments/supplies efficiently
- Set up sterile tables, medications, and surgical equipment
- Monitor sterility and maintain quality assurance standards
- Clean, reassemble, and prepare instruments for sterilization
- Assist with inventory management and supply monitoring
- Support emergency and on-call surgical cases as needed
