Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: CVOR Tech Specialty: Not specified Duration: 15 weeks Shift: 10 hours Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 5:30 AM, Monday to Thursday Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required. License: VA License required Certifications: BLS (must be AHA), CST and state registration required at time of submittal Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. - Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication skills and a team player. Description: Candidates must have experience in the following: - Coronary Artery Bypass - Ascending Aortic Aneurysms - Valve Repair and Replacement - Structural Heart Procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip) - Thoracic Organ (Heart and Lung) Transplant - ECMO - Ventricular Assist Devices - Redo and emergent cases Adult scrub experience is required, while pediatric scrub experience is a plus. Understanding that on-call duties are required approximately after every scheduled shift from 5:30 AM until 6:30 AM. Candidates should be willing to accommodate holiday coverage as per departmental needs. Participation in professional activities of the department is expected. Numerous research protocols are ongoing. Candidates should be proactive in adding any time off requested to the end of contracts for a full 13 working weeks.
