Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 17-week minimum contract - up to 26 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 10:40 - 23:10 Experience: 2 years of scrub experience required License: Not specified Certifications: AHA BLS required, CST preferred Must-Have: Strongest skills should be in cardiac/thoracic: - ECMO - CABG (Coronary artery bypass graft) - Ascending aortic procedures - LVAD - Thoracic robotic surgery using DaVinci Xi - Lobectomy - Mitral valve procedures - VATS - Lung resection - Transplant experience (kidney + liver) Description: This role involves preparing the operating room prior to surgery. The CVOR Tech promotes patient safety during surgery. You will provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures. You will care for the patient during surgery. You will handle the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The CVOR Tech functions as a member of the surgical team. Knowledge and skills are required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). The role requires experience in high-caliber complex surgeries. Strong cardiac/thoracic skills are essential. Transplant experience is not mandatory if all other requirements are met. The incumbent must demonstrate independence and comfort working solo.
