Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-16:30 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: CST Certifications: Required CST Must-Have: CVOR scrub experience Passing instruments for surgery Using blower/mister Description: This is a position in an acute-care hospital environment. The unit has 2 CVOR rooms plus TAVR in the cath lab. The patient ratio is 1:1. Candidates will work with specific equipment and a documentation system. Scheduling requirements include starting as early as 0545 and may involve floating to general if not busy. There is an on-call schedule that rotates among staff. Electronic medical records will be utilized in this role. Weekend call will also be part of the rotation. Procedures performed include CABG, CABG/Valve, Thoracotomy, and aortic dissection.
