Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Pending State License accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Cardiothoracic surgery experience including CABG, AVR, MVR, Thoracoscopy, Thoracotomy, Robotic Thoracoscopy, TAVR, Impella's, and Pericardial windows - First-timers accepted - Availability for on-call shifts 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd-4th weekend Description: The role involves working in surgical services as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician. This position includes participation in approximately 3 cases per day across 2 operating rooms. Travelers will be expected to float to other departments when there are no CVOR surgeries scheduled. Utilization of skills such as scrub technique, aseptic technique, and support of various cardiac procedures is required. Special equipment experience with robotic thoracoscopy is preferred. This department focuses on cardiothoracic surgery, requiring a solid background in related surgical procedures. The daily census is approximately 3 patients, providing a hands-on environment in surgeries aimed at adult and geriatric populations.
