- Weekly Pay: $2140 to $2340
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures
- Set up sterile fields, instruments, supplies, and specialized CVOR equipment
- Assist surgeons during open-heart, vascular, and other cardiovascular procedures
- Anticipate surgical team needs and pass instruments efficiently throughout procedures
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to facility policies
- Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, perfusionists, and anesthesia staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Surgical Tech experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience assisting with cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
