Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Technology Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Georgia or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience preferred - Community hospital experience preferred - Trauma Level I and II experience preferred - Travel experience preferred Description: Unit details include cardiovascular/thoracic, transplant, and robotics experience preferred. Weekend call is included in call requirements. Call is required one day a week and one weekend every four weeks. These requirements are subject to change based on departmental needs. Floating within the facility and to the Main OR as needed is expected. Clinical fit will be assessed through a clinical screen process. If clinical criteria are met, candidates will be submitted to the manager for final decision. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on schedule. If not compliant, the start date may be pushed back by two weeks due to orientation scheduling. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two out of three. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. All time off must be finalized before submission. Max time off allowed is seven days per contract. If three holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday time off request may be considered. Compliance documents must be completed within a specified timeframe to start on the planned date. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation. Both individuals with first-time travel experience and those with extensive backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will possess skills such as a different range of surgical procedures and familiarity with medical equipment. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential for success in this role.
