Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Profession: Certified Surgical Technician Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician - Experience in cardiac surgery preferred Description: Weekly hours are 36 hours. Start time is 06:45 and end time is 19:15. Work days are rotating based on an 8-week schedule. Call requirements for Certified Surgical Technicians include 10 shifts with each shift being 12 hours for an 8-week schedule. Unit description includes 8 cardiac operating rooms. There are 7 cardiac surgeons on staff. Between 9 to 16 cases are performed per operative day. The facility handles over 2000 cardiac cases a year. Surgical procedures include open heart and robotic cardiac surgeries using Xi and DV5 systems. There is a heart failure and heart transplant program. Each case typically requires 1 First Assistant, 1 Certified Surgical Technician, 1 Heart Holder RN, and 1 Circulator.
