Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: CRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RRT Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Proficient in adult critical care work settings - Experience with extubation, nasal airway placements, and suctioning - Experience administer medications through various methods - Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms Description: The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for adults and geriatric patients. They will be responsible for performing assessments and managing patients with respiratory issues. The therapist must demonstrate proficiency in critical care skills including extubation and airway management. They should be experienced in administering aerosolized medications and pulmonary hygiene techniques. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot and manage mechanical ventilation. Experience with trauma-level care is necessary. The therapist will float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements. Charting will be performed using EPIC, and 1 year of experience with this system is required. All requests for time off must be included with submissions and will be accommodated when approved. This role will involve working with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. All staff must adhere to floating protocols to ensure adequate staffing across units.
