Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing and carrying out patient treatment plans
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of treatment
• Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and self-care activities to improve mobility and physical health
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on skills and techniques to support the treatment program
• Assist patients with disabilities in developing greater independence in daily activities
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and patient records in an organized and accurate manner

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license – Required
• Active Missouri state OTA license – Required
• Current CPR certification – Required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) – Required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
• Prior experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
