Key Responsibilities- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing therapy treatment plans to improve patients' mobility and physical health
- Monitor patient progress throughout the course of treatment and document outcomes in patient records
- Encourage and support patients during their recovery process, helping to improve their overall quality of life
- Help patients with disabilities develop greater independence through therapeutic and self-care activities
- Teach patients, family members, and caregivers skills and techniques to support the patient's treatment program
- Maintain the treatment area, equipment, and patient records in good order
Required Qualifications- Active Missouri Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license
- Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience
- Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation setting experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with acute and chronically ill patient populations
- Familiarity with supporting patients in re-entering the workforce following injury or illness
