We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility team in Palo Alto, CA. As a COTA in the SNF setting, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide treatment interventions for patients recovering from surgery, illness, injury, or age-related conditions. Your contributions will play a vital role in helping patients maximize independence and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills, mobility, coordination, and functional independence
  • Support patients with self-care training, adaptive equipment use, and therapeutic exercises
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment responses to supervising Occupational Therapists
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safety techniques and functional strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
  • Promote patient engagement, independence, and successful rehabilitation outcomes
