We are actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in McAlester, Oklahoma for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a dedicated rehabilitation team while helping patients improve their independence and quality of life through personalized occupational therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic activities to improve patients' strength, mobility, coordination, and daily living skills
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
