Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver hands-on therapeutic care that supports patients in improving functional independence and daily living skills.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy structured rehabilitation environments and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and daily living activities
Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
Collaborate with OT, PT, PTA, and nursing staff
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
Support rehabilitation goals that improve patient independence

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week

Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required
Graduation from an accredited COTA program required
Prior rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to follow OT-directed treatment plans accurately
Must comply with facility onboarding and compliance requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
