Job Title: COTA - Inpatient Therapy Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: COTA Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: State License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: First-Time Travelers Welcome Description: COTA position in Inpatient Therapy. The shift is 5 days a week from 08:00 to 17:00. Required certifications include BLS and a state license. Minimum of 1 year of experience is necessary. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Scrubs should be in black, grey, plum, light blue, teal, wine, navy, or royal. Candidates should have skills in acute care and adaptive equipment. Experience with amputees, arthritis, and assessment is preferred. Knowledge of dementia, CVA rehabilitation, and discharge planning is beneficial. Understanding of home exercise programs and safety/injury prevention is required. Experience with lymphedema management and neurological disorders is a plus. Familiarity with patient and family education is important. Unit supports a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. Daily census averages 265 patients with various diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support is provided within the unit. Travelers should be aware of the mile radius rule regarding permanent address. Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning. Modules and training are factored into orientation but are non-billable.
