We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and overall functional performance
  • Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Assist with discharge planning by providing feedback on patient progress and recommendations for continued therapy
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving function, maximizing independence, and enhancing quality of life
Requirements
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments
