We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services that help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working alongside a supportive rehabilitation team. Candidates traveling with another Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant are encouraged to apply, as the facility has multiple openings and prefers a COTA/COTA travel pair. Individual applicants will also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and functional performance
  • Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and home exercise programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuity of care
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional therapy environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
Requirements
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Required: Active COTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt effectively to new clinical environments and patient populations
