We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week Home Health assignment. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes and residential settings, helping them improve independence, safety, and overall functional performance.
This position is ideal for a therapy professional who enjoys working independently while providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the home health setting.
Assignment Details- Length:13 Weeks
- Schedule:Days, Monday–Friday
- Missed visits may be made up on weekends as needed
- Guaranteed Hours:40 hours per week
- Travel Radius: Up to 50 miles from the facility
- Expected Weekly Mileage: Approximately 50–75 miles (may vary)
- Mileage: Included in bill rate
- Patient Load: Approximately 6–7 visits per day
- Charting System:WellSky
- Required Daily Stand-Up Meeting: Monday–Friday at 8:30 AM
Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, mobility, and functional independence
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and home exercise programs
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in WellSky
- Coordinate care with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in home and residential settings
- Maintain professional standards while supporting positive patient outcomes
Requirements- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Required: Active COTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Required: Current BLS and First Aid certifications
- Required: Minimum 2 years of recent licensed COTA experience
- Required: At least 1 recently completed travel assignment
- Required: Experience with HomeCare/HomeBase
- Required: Home Health experience
- No New Graduates
