This Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant opportunity is based in South Las Vegas, a dynamic and rapidly growing area that combines the energy of the famous Las Vegas Strip with the comfort of established neighborhoods and newer master-planned communities. Residents enjoy easy access to exceptional dining, shopping, live entertainment, and professional sports, along with nearby outdoor destinations such as Red Rock Canyon, Sloan Canyon, and Lake Mead for hiking, biking, and year-round recreation. The facility offers a structured, professional environment focused on high-quality rehabilitation and long-term care for adult and geriatric patients. You will support an Occupational Therapist in delivering evidence-based interventions to help patients regain function, maximize independence, and safely transition to their next level of care. The setting is designed to be both patient-centered and therapist-supportive, with dedicated therapy spaces and a collaborative care model. In this role, you can expect a typical day to include assisting with treatment sessions such as ADL retraining, functional mobility, strengthening, cognitive and perceptual activities, and use of adaptive equipment; following an established plan of care for a caseload of adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurologic diagnoses, deconditioning, and chronic illnesses; documenting daily interventions, patient response, and progress in the electronic medical record; and collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and social services. Patient ratios and daily caseload are structured to support productivity while allowing time for safe, individualized care. The therapy team often participates in interdisciplinary care planning and family education, giving you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to discharge planning and long-term outcomes. Shifts are typically daytime hours with some flexibility based on census and patient needs, offering a predictable schedule for work-life balance in this vibrant metropolitan area.
