Job Overview

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support occupational therapy services in a rehabilitation setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve their ability to perform daily living activities, restore functional independence, and enhance overall quality of life.

This role requires strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patient function and independence
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive techniques
Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals and home exercise programs
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
Follow all facility policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility policy)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience preferred
