We're hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Warsaw, VA. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills needed for everyday life. Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Virginia required to start the assignment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Ability to implement individualized therapy plans and provide direct patient care under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans under OT guidance.
  • Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills required.
  • Ability to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions and provide patient/family education.
