We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Portland, OR. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining skills for daily living through therapeutic exercises, activities, and patient/family education. New graduates are welcome. Please review the minimum qualifications and assignment details below.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Oregon required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Ability to document patient progress and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in rehabilitation therapy within skilled nursing facilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with common SNF documentation systems preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 8-hour day shift.
  • Float required to other clinics within the organization.
  • Guaranteed hours listed in order notes; overtime applies after 40 hours.
