Job Overview
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 7-week contract assignment in Middletown, Rhode Island. The CNA will assist residents with daily living activities while providing compassionate care and support within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
This role requires strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure quality resident care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Support resident mobility, transfers, and positioning safely
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
Provide compassionate emotional support and patient-centered care
Assist with meal service and hydration needs
Document care provided in accordance with facility policies
Collaborate with nurses and healthcare staff to support resident care plans
Requirements
Active CNA certification/license required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Minimum 1 year of CNA experience preferred
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
Must comply with facility health, identification, and badge requirements
Ability to work scheduled weekends and Friday shifts as required
