Join a hospital in Tyler, TX as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role supporting cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Operate advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment, assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.
What You'll Need:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent.
- State licensure as required by modality. Texas: MRT or LMRT by TMB.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (AHA only).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required to perform independently at pediatric facilities (AHA only).
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience required. Candidate must have EP procedure experience.
- Experience with cath lab equipment and procedures, including fluoro imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, contrast injector, and familiarity with devices such as intra-aortic balloon pump, IVUS, ICE, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and LV assist devices preferred.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by CCI, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) by CCI, Radiography (R) by ARRT, or other CCI/ARRT/ARDMS cardio-related certifications preferred. Note that these are preferred, not required.
- 0-1 year acute care experience preferred. Acute care or hospital cath lab experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 07:00–17:30.
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
- Work type: Full Time.
- Must be able to function as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use and perform procedure-related duties including scrubbing and circulating as needed.
