Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while experiencing a new location. Assist physicians and Cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures and operate advanced equipment to capture images and data of the heart and blood vessels.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting CLIA requirements (42 CFR 493.1489). Education evaluated by an acceptable credentialing agency and deemed equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
  • Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS. If certification has an expiration date, it must be maintained and current.
  • New graduates must be board certified or eligible and must complete board certification within one year of hire (Louisiana excluded).
  • Experience. No experience required for graduates of an approved clinical laboratory training program. OR One year of approved clinical laboratory experience that includes clinical rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids within the last five years.
  • Must have excellent transfusion service (blood banking) skills.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications preferred (American Heart Association preferred).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital Cath Lab or catheterization laboratory environment.
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or equivalent cardiovascular invasive credentials preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Work schedule: Saturday through Monday, 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM.

As a healthcare professional with our staffing team, you will provide essential laboratory and Cath lab support that contributes to timely, accurate diagnoses and patient treatment. You will operate and maintain laboratory and imaging instrumentation, follow quality control programs, process patient specimens with attention to age-specific needs, document critical values in the Laboratory Information System, and participate in the development and implementation of testing procedures and protocols. You must complete all required compliance and regulatory tasks and adhere to applicable policies and procedures.
