Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Guaranteed hours Experience: Minimum one year experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting preferred License: Current unencumbered CVT/RCIS registration required Certifications: CCI credential required (or must be obtained within six months of hire) Must-Have: Healthcare Provider BLS required; ACLS required within six months of hire Description: Provides care for patients undergoing cardiac and radiologic procedures. Responsible for data entry for billing purposes. Logs case data into the digital archive of the department. Uses state-of-the-art imaging technology. Imaging services include X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT Scan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound services, Cardiac Cath, and Interventional Radiology. Graduate of a college, technical, or accredited CVT or RCIS program is required. Verification of high school diploma or equivalent is required for moderate complexity testing. Possesses basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and communicating with patients. Ability to respond promptly to urgent situations that may arise. Adjusts actions in relation to others to offer the best possible care. Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others. Exhibits effective written and oral communication skills. Possesses knowledge of medical records, procedures, and terminology. Ensures compliance with State and Federal laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Knowledge of customer service principles and processes is essential. Maintains patience and composure in high-stress situations. Organizes and prioritizes work effectively to meet time frames. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
